🌟SPOTLIGHT on St Anthony`s Playgroup🌟
St Anthony’s Playgroup is a welcoming, play-based space where children from birth to five can explore, learn and grow alongside their parent or caregiver. Each session, families enter our beautiful play space filled with open-ended play experiences where children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, build confidence and develop friendships in a relaxed and supportive environment. Our playgroup is free and open to all families in the community, creating a wonderful opportunity to connect, play and belong.
Playgroup sessions are held on Thursdays from 8:45am–10:00am.

🌟 SPOTLIGHT on PlayConnect+ Playgroups🌟
PlayConnect+ groups are open to all children with disability and/or developmental delay aged 0-8 years, their families, carers and siblings. No diagnosis is required.
Join our wonderful qualified facilitators for these welcoming, small groups where individual needs of children and families are supported.
All sessions are facilitated by qualified professionals. All PlayConnect+ groups are delivered based on the core characteristics of high-quality playgroups, identified in Playgroup Principles (Australian Institute of Family Studies).
There are PlayConnect+ playgroups at Keithcot Farm, Whyalla, Darlington, Lockleys and Gawler.

NATIONAL PLAYGROUP WEEK
Spotlight on ✨ Highbury Playgroup ✨
Highbury Playgroup, held in the beautiful grounds of Highbury Preschool, right next door to Highbury Primary School, is run by a dedicated and passionate early childhood teacher. Each session gives little ones from 0-5 and their families, a chance to explore, play and connect in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Each playgroup session, children and families have access to
👉Swings and climbing equipment for active play
👉Large sandpit and watercourse
👉Inviting and engaging play setups
👉Sensory play experiences
👉Playdough, arts and crafts
👉A dedicated baby area for our smallest players
With plenty of space for children (and parents!) to connect and play together.
We finish our playgroup with a grouptime on the mats together, with a story and song time.
While we always start our sessions in Highbury Preschool, during some sessions we go on adventures to Highbury Primary School to explore the playgrounds and Nature Play areas.

It’s National Playgroup Week! 🎉 Get along to a playgroup this week!
This week we’re celebrating the incredible playgroups that bring families together across South Australia. Throughout the week we’ll be shining a spotlight on playgroups from around the state, sharing the wonderful ways children and families connect, learn and play in their communities.
On Wednesday, we’ll be celebrating with a huge outdoor pop-up playgroup, bringing families together for a morning of play, connection and fun.

Saint David’s Parish School Playgroup is in the beautiful suburb of Tea Tree Gully. We are an indoor based playgroup that focuses on sensory activities, craft and Imaginative play including a different theme each week.
We run every week on Tuesdays from 9-10:30am.

Pop- up playgroup in Mawson Lakes 🌳
Katie from Playgroup SA and Jess from Salvation Army recently hosted a Pop-Up Playgroup at Shearwater playground in Mawson Lakes, bringing local families together for a morning of play, connection and conversation. It was wonderful to see children exploring in the beautiful weather and families connecting with other families in their community.
These pop-up sessions are also a great opportunity for us to learn more about the supports, programs and opportunities families would love to see in the Mawson Lakes area.
We’re looking forward to hosting another session in a couple of weeks and would love to see more local families join us!

Great news for inclusive play in our community. 🎉
Playgroup SA is pleased to have received $81,000 through the Julia Farr Disability Inclusion Grant to deliver an inclusive playgroup program supporting children with disability and their families, Ready, Set, Play!
Last week we joined @natcookmp and Jayne Stinson to celebrate the announcement at Play2Grow Intergenerational Playgroup in Plympton, South Australia. It was wonderful to share the moment with families and see firsthand how inclusive playgroups help children connect, learn and thrive together.
This funding will help strengthen opportunities for children of all abilities to participate in welcoming, supportive playgroup environments across the community.
